Non cash donations



Donations are what keep us going, so isn't it time to go through and "clean house"? Our volunteers are ready to accept your donations at the receiving area located in the very back of the building by the brown shed. Hours for acceptance of donations are Tuesday- Saturday 10:30am-3:30 pm. Unfortunately, many items can not be accepted for health and safety reasons. See below for a more exhaustive but incomplete list. Please ask the receivers if you are unsure if your items are acceptable.

WE ACCEPT A VARIETY OF CLEAN, NEW/GENTLY USED MERCHANDISE. THE FOLLOWING LIST RECOMMENDS EXAMPLES OF WELCOMED DONATIONS AT COMMUNITY HELPING HAND (AS LONG AS THEY ARE IN GREAT CONDITION AND GOOD WORKING ORDER)



  • Accessories: Hats, belts, scarves, purses, jewelry
  • Clothing: Casual, business, outerwear, summer, formal wear
  • Collectibles and antiques Child and adult clothing/shoes.socks/boots/sandals
  • Cards for any occasion - office supplies
  • Small furniture in new condition - taken in as our floor space permits
  • Games, Puzzles
  • Holiday decorations: Christmas, Easter, Fall/Halloween
  • Kitchen: dishes, pots, pans, utensils, glasses/cups, bowls
  • Knickknacks: candles, lamps, pictures, figurines, frames
  • Linens: bedding, curtains, tablecloths, towels
  • Media: Books, CD's, DVD's
  • Paper & Plastic Shopping bags/newspaper for wrapping fragile items
  • Small appliances: Coffee makers, crock pots, toasters

  • Tools-working electric tools and non-electric working tools
  • Non-expired food for our food shelf
